At the Red Lion you'll find a classic country pub overlooking the village green. From our gardens you can hear the knock of leather on willow when the Longdon Green cricket team take the field, and we have a real sun-trap of a terrace which is a fine place for a spot of lunch with friends and family.
Inside there are any number of nooks and crannies to squirrel away in, or join the throng in the open plan garden room if you're feeling more gregarious. The bar sits happily at the heart of the building, with six cask ales on tap, and open fires, oak floors, prints, rugs and plants are the order of the day.

Daniel-Ross Bennett5 StarI walked in to find the staff very accommodating, for someone who hasn't booked in advance.
I started with the pan fried oysters. They were fresh, succulent and paired perfectly with a mushy pea and cured ham.
The spicy oyster burger with mushrooms and wasabi mayonnaise was an odd combination, yet surprisingly delicious.

Staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, food was lovely and decent portions. They also gave my dog lots of fuss and treats. I had as a main a delicious steak and ale pie with mash and veg, followed by light and explosive bread and butter pudding for dessert.
Throughly satisfied!
