I can't recommend The Gurkha enough, there's few restaurants I prefer to eat. This place is perfect. There is nothing I can fault with the food or the service. It tastes incredible, honestly nothing better in Chelmsford that I have found! Service and the people goes above and beyond. The guy that delivers is lovely and the whole restaurant service are so nice! We're regular customers and recently changed our ordering habits to go through the website to help their profits (rather than just eat), the restaurant thanked us with a delightful starter on the house. Just above and beyond, exceptional! 😁

Never been to this restaurant before, but it was a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the Nepalese food was delicious and they even served a bottled beer I'd never come across, which just happened to be called Gurkha. I thoroughly recommend giving it a go if you are in the area.

Really annoyed to ring up after waiting an hour and a half to be told the order was just leaving the restaurant by one person. An hour later rang again and told by somebody else they could not find my order and they would ring me back 15 minutes later I rang again as they had not bothered to ring me and was told they had never received my order despite a confirmation e-mail being sent (ordered direct via web-site not a third party), when I questioned the promise that it was on its way an hour was told “that girl is new” -that old Chesnut!! Won't be bothering again

Absolutely awful. Had a takeaway. Been meaning to try Gurkha for a couple of years and a massive disappointment. Curries overwhelmed by a single pungent spice that ruined the dish. Tried chow chow noodles and they tasted off. Very little taste. £45 down the khasi. I love to try new curries, but this was cack. Never again!

Quick and efficient delivery. Great service. The food is always delicious and the staff is super helpful. Cannot fault it. One of my favourite takeaway place.
