Our master-craftsmen hand build and finish these creations from the finest African hardwoods, natural leather and solid brass into affordable, beautiful pieces that will uplift your space and last for generations. Early African Safaris were assessable to a privileged few. A caravan of porters carried the fine campaign furniture that was easily knock down to be assembled at each night’s luxury camp. This collection of unique designs are comfortable and functional for every-day use. Our furniture studio lies within sight and sound of the Victoria Falls on the Zambezi River – one of the great natural wonders of the world. The Victoria Falls Collection was inspired by this stupendously beautiful environment and the magnificent bridge built across the Zambezi Gorge in 1905. At The African Touch we love to design distinct, unique pieces that will set you apart from friends or competitors. This passion drives us to introduce new products on a regular basis. What’s more, you can leave to your African Touch furniture to your grandchildren! Our craftsmen have been trained over the last quarter century in traditional woodworking skills, and are experts in producing very accurate and strong wood to wood joints such as mortice & tennon, dovetail & sliding dovetail, expanded tennon, half lap and so on. These joints, provided they are well constructed, form the strongest possible wood furniture joints.
