Welcome to St David’s C of E Primary School website. We hope you find it useful and informative. Please enjoy your visit!

St David’s is a vibrant city school with a warm and friendly family atmosphere. Our school is situated just a short distance from the city centre and we make the most of our location throughout the year with regular visits and trips to many of the facilities that are right on our door step.

We believe that our pupils should clearly understand their responsibility for learning by actively engaging with our creative curriculum. They are encouraged to value their educational opportunities and enjoy the learning experiences we provide. In return, we offer an excellent team of staff who work incredibly hard to provide a broad range of activities and challenges within a safe, stimulating and positive learning
environment.
We greatly value and actively promote the partnership between home and school because we understand that it is only through joint support that every child will reach their full potential.

We hope that the years spent with us will be happy for you and your child.

Now that things at school have returned to normal we will be reverting to the official school drop off and pick up times.

At the start of the day

All children should arrive in class in the morning between 8.45 and 9.00am.

Doors will open at 8.45am and a member of staff will meet and greet children as they make their way to class. Ruby/Emerald children enter via Rockside and Sapphire/Diamond via the front playground. The gates will be locked at 9.00am promptly so please ensure your child has arrived by that time.

At the end of the day

3.20pm Ruby children

without siblings

collected

—this allows the younger children to leave before the lane is congested.

3.30pm all other children finish

Ruby class children with siblings will remain in class until 3.30pm so that you are able to collect all children at the same time and no longer need to wait between pick ups. If you need to be in two places at the same time, please collect your younger child first and KS2 staff will remain with older children until you arrive. Thank You!
