We arrived on a cruise ship and the car was brought directly to the cruise terminal where the handover was extremely efficient, saving us so much time. The documentation was done quickly and we were impressed to get an upgrade to a very new and super clean Mercedes. I would certainly recommend anyone arriving on a cruise ship in Belfast to hire a car from Sixt as it gives you so much more flexibility to see all the amazing sights and scenery and stop wherever you like at a fraction of the cost of going on organised excursions. Road signage around Northern Ireland is excellent so no need to worry about finding your way. My advise to anyone though is to pin the location of the ship (dockyard) before you leave as we did struggle finding our way back but even then the Sixt staff talked us through to get us back.
