Sandal Dog Walking & Day Care has now launched! 

We have taken a lot of time and care to make sure you and your furry friend have the best experience possible. Also, we have insurance and a clean DBS Check (Also know as Police or CRB Check) to give you that extra peace of mind.

Our priorities are;

Sandal Dog Walking & Day Care is a family run business, consisting mainly of myself, Emily, the owner, and my mum, Jane, who helps to walk and care for the dogs. I've had a passion for dogs for as long as I can remember, I find learning about the different breeds and what they were bred for truly fascinating. 

I have a dog myself, a Working cocker Spaniel who loves nothing more than his daily walks. Everyday, we take him somewhere perfect for running about safely, away from roads. We are based in Sandal, which means Haw Park Wood and Newmillerdam Country Park are only a stones throw away. 

The reason I have started this business isn't just because of my passion for dogs, it is also because I want to provide the opportunity for dogs in my area to be exercised when their owners are unable to do this. As I am sure most people know, exercise is a vital part of a dog's life. The same as humans, dogs need regular exercise to help prevent health problems from developing. Dogs aren't just athletes at the weekends! Most dogs require an hour walk everyday. However, some people only have this amount of time available at the weekends, which can do some dogs more harm than good. If they are exercised for long periods irregularly, like just at the weekends, it could cause harm to their bodies because they are unable to get use to that sort of infrequent physical exertion.
