Would not rate this home at all very poorly managed!! Staff not been informed on a daily basis and under stress though not fault of there own trying to do there best with poor staff levels nurses in charge having very little social or caring skills having removed my loved one from this place my concerns are for the poor residents left there and in my opinion this soposedly. care home needs to be looked at by the relevant authorities! As a duty of care

This care home have not only neglected my fathers care needs but also put myself under a lot of stress due to there incompetence. I would not recommend anyone put their loved ones in the trust of their care. Staff seem stressed overwhelmed and the manager just sits in the office has no idea or information on how the residents are when asked, the manager is extremely unprofessional and I think the authorities need to be looking into not only the care home itself but her ability to manage. The lack of care consisted of my father not receiving basic care, constantly had to ask for him to be showered, he smelt very badly with dirty clothes that he’d been left in for over a week, lost worrying amount of weight with no entertainment and just left all day in a chair. Feet so swollen as he was never put into bed and was up walking around at night. When I came to see him none of his shoes would fit from the swelling they would send him out in his slippers to go for a walk even if raining. Medicine had run out as supposed problems with pharmacy (which again is absurd as patients rely on medication) so he became more frustrated and in result of this “allegedly” aggressive, calling the police on him and resulting in being told I had 48 hours to find him a new home. Alzheimer’s patients symptoms consist of being frustrated/angry and as a care provider who is being paid exceptionally well should have the right skill sets to deal with this and not just get rid at the first opportunity causing more upset confusion than before. Not only have I seen my dad rapidly deteriorating while in their care he seems completely tortured by his experience.

My husband spent the last few weeks of his life here. The staff were kind, caring and extremely helpful at the end.
