Welcome to Rock Cottage Steve and Alison welcome you to their home.

We would like to say, that we are a family home and welcome easy going and respectful guests. 

​Note: I am sorry but we do not take Construction Workers, due to dirty workwear. We hope you understand this, due to keeping our rooms clean.

​Access: Rock Cottage, has 3 steps into the front door, once inside the rooms are spacious & are easy to manage.

Check In: After 4pm (16.00) and Before 8pm (20.00) 

Please advise approx time of arrival.

Check Out: 10.30am (10.30)

Please understand that this has to be adhered to, as extra time is needed to air &  fully deep clean the room.

Breakfast: 

Breakfast is served between 

07.30am - 09:00am.​ Mon-Fri

08.15am - 09.15am. Sat-Sun

Eating Out: We can recommend places for your evening meals, in our surrounding area, pubs, restaurants or takeaways

Guest Accommodation: 

Wishing Well Room - 

(is on the ground floor)

This room is a large room, with a double bed & a single bed. It also, has an comfy, adjoining bunk room, we have a travel cot if needed. 

Includes en-suite shower over bath and clean towels & toiletries.

Tea & Coffee making facilities, also a Microwave & Toaster.

TV & Wi-Fi available. 

Hairdryer & Iron/Board. 

For those chilly winter nights, beds are fitted with electric blankets.

History: 

Rock Cottage is about 300 years old and has been in Alison’s family for five generations. We are situated between Bristol & Bath, (Kingswood in South Gloucestershire), which has a historic mining community, including a local museum in Warmley. 

On your treck along the cycle track, the Old Bitton Railway is open to the public, you can have a short ride on the Steam Train. (Also on the Santa Express during December). Bitton Railway also, has a lovely cafe of its own. There is plenty more for you to see and do in our surrounding area. 

Things To Do:

Places of Interest: Castle Combe, voted prettiest village in England is only 30 minutes away. Stonehenge, Roman City of Bath, Cheddar Caves & Gorge

We have hosted foreign students, in the past (aged 16 -18 years) the students attended a local school. If your are interested in your child (foreign student) coming to England to study, please contact us and we will help to arrange this for you. 

Your child, will be well looked after whilst living within an English family. This is a great experience for any young person. 

Finally, we would like you to be aware, that we have a cat & 2 dogs. This is just in case, you have an allergy to either of them.
