With amazing scenery, a range of wildlife habitats and a rich cultural heritage making the perfect holiday destination for recreation and relaxation. Stretching some 680 square miles the Yorkshire Dales landscape is a haven for walkers and cyclists, for those wanting wide open spaces or a stunning scenic drive. The Park is a few minutes’ walk from the historic market town of Ripon, with its magnificent cathedral which houses an ancient Saxon crypt dating back from Ad 672. Every Thursday, Ripon holds a market on the market square, a tradition that has been carried out for years. Stalls include: fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, fresh fish, clothes, accessories, and much more. A spectacular natural attraction where the River Ure plunges over 2000ft in a series of fantastic falls. The nearby National Park Centre can also point you in the direction of other lovely walks in the area taking in the surrounding woods or heading up to the lovely villages of Carperby or Aysgarth. We are nearing the end of our first seasonal tourer pitch here, and have not hesitated at renewing for next year. The shower and toilet block are great and well serviced. The shop has just enough to keep you going if you've forgotten something and can't be bothered going into town. The club house is great, quiet during the week but when the turns and bingo are on at the weekend it's busy with a good atmosphere. Launderette is fine, works well and my kids love the games room. It's an easy walk to town which we love. The park is immaculate all times and every member of staff have been friendly and helpful. I can't think of anything bad to say, we just love coming here and have made some good friends along the way.
