There has been a shop on the corner of Station Road and Heathcote Road, Miles Green for many years. In the 1930s it was a butcher’s shop, owned by a Mr Parker and where the two roads meet, outside, became affectionately known as ‘Parker’s Corner’.
Owners’ daughter, Carol Pardoe, and husband John Lawler opened the first oatcake shop on the premises in 1996 and current owner, Phil Hancock, took over in November 2008.
