Richard5 StarIf you're considering physiotherapy for your dog, I'd suggest stopping thinking about it and to contact Ephie ASAP.
She has a natural rapport with animals, setting even my anxious "non-patient" dog at ease straight away, which has seldom happened before.
As for the patient, a large 11 year old cross breed who had lost some of his bounce after an accident, he was delighted to see her at every visit and quickly regained strength, muscle size and mobility after just a few sessions, with homework in between.
The homework, as well as being part of the treatment process, gave Leo and I a fun new way to spend time together, which soon had him back to chasing tennis balls, lifting branches and generally behaving like a much younger dog again, which was a delight to see.
All in all I can't recommend her services enough and wouldn't hesitate to pay for them again should they be needed.Thursday 8th December 2022
Ian Forbes5 StarI was initially sceptical about physio as Mia (Alaskan Malamute) can be reticent regarding co-operation with people she doesn't know. Mia's surgeon (double op for ruptured cruciate ligaments on both back legs) strongly recommended it so we gave it a go.
Ephie was very patient patient with her and gave me lots of useful advice and exercises, even letting me apply laser treatment, under close guidance, so Mia would relax and allow it to take place.
Mia has made huge strides in the last 3 months, literally! She has progressed from having weak back legs with considerable muscle atrophy, to being allowed off lead and bouncing around like a puppy. This is a joy to see in an eight year old dog who, despite a successful weight management programme, still weighs over 30 kilos.
In fact, I would go as far as saying that Mia is fitter now than she has been for years.
If you have a dog who requires physiotherapy, look no further!!Wednesday 27th July 2022
keithb5 StarWe really can’t thank Ephie enough for all she has done for our beautiful two year old chocolate Labrador, as well as for my husband and I…We were both so upset when our ‘little man’ effectively broke his elbow and we felt like we had a mountain to climb after his operation…How could we go from long, fun walks to virtually nothing? We were so worried about how we would keep AJ mentally entertained and happy, let alone help his recovery physically…Ephie gave us all the help, support and confidence to do just that, and we have learnt so much. The massages that she has given us now will not only help AJ after long walks, but will also be beneficial in his older years to keep him supple. Ephie is the most kindest, caring and understanding person… And extremely patient, while teaching us how to help AJ!! Ephie made sure that we fully understood the exercises that she set and more importantly that we were doing them properly!! AJ has made a full recovery and three weeks earlier than expected when the specialist discharged him.
We have always looked forward to Ephie’s visits and AJ clearly adores her.
We have peace of mind knowing she is always there should we need advice or help in the future.Tuesday 12th October 2021
Laura McGregor5 StarEphie came and saw my naughty horse Buddy when he became stiff in his shoulder after ‘playing’ in the field. He can be untrusting of new people but Ephie instantly put him at ease, making friends straight away. She was thorough and explained things to me throughout include recommending simple changes to his daily routine to keep him suppler and straighter in the long run now he’s getting a bit older.
Ephie’s follow up care after her first visit was excellent, clearly documenting all the exercises we needed to do and I know if I’m ever stuck or unsure she’s on the end of the phone.
I would recommend her to anyone looking for a vet physio in the North West.Monday 18th January 2021
