Top quality Ballet and dance, all ages, close to Birmingham City Centre. Welcome to Nicholson School of Dance Studios. Open since February 2015.
We are really excited to announce that as from June 2021, we have now taken on unit 10 next door and converted it into two more beautiful new dance studios. These two studios plus two further side rooms complement the purpose built studios in unit 11 in Eastside, Digbeth, the centre of Birmingham's future cultural growth.
17 years after opening my school in Moseley with just a handful of students, I am delighted to now be able to offer a much wider range of dance opportunities not only to my dedicated students but also to new students and adults. As always, due to my background with The Royal ballet School and Birmingham Royal Ballet, the core of my classes lie within ballet but we also offer other styles and complimentary training.
The classes are all about YOU! therefore I welcome your thoughts, comments, or, personal requests for any other dance or exercise forms that may interest you.

It was my daughter's dream to go to a vocational ballet school and with Annettes weekly classes, private lessons and workshops my daughter made amazing progress and was offered upper school places at some of the top vocational schools.
None of this would of been possible without Annettes excellent teaching in perfecting her technique, building her confidence and dancing with other dedicated students.

annette nicholson5 StarMy daughter age 12 attends The Nicholson School of dance. We are impressed both with the high quality of Annette’s teaching and the professionalism and atmosphere of the dance school as a whole. It’s a lovely place to be and we have seen a great improvement in our daughters dancing since she started at the school. The studios are beautiful and situated in a lovely part of Birmingham with lots of things of interest in the area. The Bullring is a ten minute walk away and there are some lovely cafes nearby on the waterfront. We travel from Leicester for the classes so its nice to have places of interest to visit whilst our daughter dances. Sometimes we stay at the studio as it has a lovely lounge area with tea and coffee and it has wifi so is very relaxing. I couldn’t recommend this school enough, I wish I had found it sooner.

sharon White5 StarA lovely place to arrive at after a long drive with clean , spacious studios. A great sprung floor in the studio area and tea and coffee facilities available.
