This place makes bates motel look like cross roads! We got to the party pad, we’re shown a different room to what we booked, no explanation as to why, but hey ho none the less we were shown around, the communal bathroom felt a bit pervy as the one door that was there didn’t close and there were curtains on the toilet stalls. We go back from an amazing day and had no idea how to get in other than a code, so ended up calling the number and the chap who answered was helpful however after we got into our room we were relaxing and next thing to we knew there was the lady who showed us around aggressively knocking on the door shouting “I told you” repeatedly We ended up putting a chair against the door and literally slept with one eye open gripping the pillow tight Literally never feared for my safety and I’m a grown woman! Please Google this place before staying here!

Needs its name changing to danger pad we had to put out a fire whilst we were there both fire extinguishers had no pins in luckily one of them still worked. No fire procedures in place apparently it says on the site no smoking and no hen or stag parties?? Strange its supposedly a party pad. 2 fire Engines arrived to the property as the fire wouldn't die down at first they checked to make sure things were safe. No staff I sight we left the property without any staff member knowing there had been a fire. Looked on line to find out Steve the manager had been to court in 2019 fined 46 thousand pound with an 18 month suspended sentence for not complying with fire procedures and still isnt 3 years on. One day someone wont be as lucky as we were.

Good craic, friendly staff, fair bar prices. Not far from town in a taxi. Only thing that I struggled with was parking. Most is permit only/double yellows in that area. Managed to park across the road for the weekend with no permit/yellow lines being an issue out of sheer luck. Otherwise, it would mean parking far out/walking in.

This place is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Decor is very interesting and certainly different but needs a big deep clean. The one bathroom is also open with no locking doors and little in the way of privacy. Toilets have curtains instead of doors and the showers have a swing door that only covers the middle part so may put people off so be warned. Also had a bit of commotion from guests staying in one of the other rooms, they had a mouse in it. The place itself is located a couple of miles outside the city centre, a bit too far to walk so you'll need bus or a taxi. Uber was about £8 on average. The staff are friendly and bar itself is pretty good with good range of beers, pool table, music etc. Keep an open mind if you decide to stay here, if you like privacy and pristine then this isn't the place for you.

Very eccentric decor. Parking isn't great especially on match day but overall a nice stay.
