When the meetings are over and the conversations are complete, the day can end with waiting for taxis, driving to hotels and checking into rooms, or with a short stroll through a parkland campus to our accommodation. The difference is more than a few miles’ travel (or even a few pounds saved); the difference lies in day two, three and beyond. With the convenience and comfort our guest rooms offer, your guests, attendees or delegates will be relaxed, refreshed and ready for the next day.

We have 80 dedicated rooms throughout the year, rising to more than 1000 rooms during the summer, with a mix of single, twin and double rooms, all of which offer Wi-Fi, tea & coffee and complimentary toiletries. We provide breakfast in either the Marketplace or Barker House Farm, so it’s never more than a couple of minutes’ walk from the most important meal of the day. And, when the day is done, there’s a range of bars and cafes to enjoy without setting foot off campus.

If you are visiting the Uni and only need B&B, this is a good choice. Furniture is better than in many hotels. Staff is invisible but responds promptly by email. Breakfast is a challenge on a rainy day. Another challenge is checking out: it is not at all obvious that one simply drops keys in a box by the entrance. Wouldn't hurt placing a note about it in the rooms.

Good accomodation and location but the instructions to find the right building in the vast campus could have been better. I used the post code given for the guest house on my GPS but it took me to the wrong end of the campus.

The guest rooms were fairly priced for the stay we took. They came with free breakfast (at the marketplace) which was much like a standard hotel's breakfast. They resemble student accommodation but are a little bigger, ours was a twin room. There were two sockets we could use, a cupboard and a kettle. It was easily placed next to a car park (free after 6pm and on weekends) which made our visit to friends at the university a walk in the park

Convenient but very basic, disappointed. Dirty mark on one of the pillows, shower control fell off, shower cubicle dirty corners, dirty marks on carpet. Kettle dirty inside and marks on cups. Had to boil the kettle a to sterilize the cups and the kettle. Concerning during these COVID times. Next time I visit the University I will be staying else where.
