It was my first time at James bushell salon. I loved it 100% the staff are so friendly kind and approachable. The service is great. My stylist Tia welcomed me and talked through with me about what type of hairstyle I want ect. My stylist understood me and the type of hair style I want. Tia also offered me a drink Tea, Water and some biscuits. Wow! 👌 The outcome of my hair I loved it Amazing 100% it was exactly what I wanted. I have found my stylist Tia and my salon (James Bushell Hair) Highly recommended it.

I've been to this salon a few times to get my hair dyed because I don't trust myself to do it so I opted for a professional. The first time I got it dyed, my hair was left bright orange (I wanted brunette) and I was told it would "fade" after washing it. However, the lady seemed to be in a rush and bleached my hair in less than an hour (and I have natural black hair), I was told by another hair salon that this is not normal and damaging to my hair as it felt like plastic. Professionals who do not care for their clients hair should not work at a hair salon? I went again after a few months but booked it with someone else and she did a pretty good job at getting rid of this orange mess. Until my last visit, my hair was completely ruined. I needed my roots touching up and asked if I could go darker as it's easier than going lighter but ended up with multiple banding all over my head. They wanted to send me home like that and told me it was fine... I wouldn't have known until my friend pointed it out as she came with me, I genuinely felt like bursting into tears. The worst part about it was the fact I was told that I needed to go bob length after growing it out for months. I didn't make a big fuss out of it as I was just keeping my tears in. Throughout all this, I could see them laughing at me from the corner of my eye when in fact they should have apologised. They tried blaming me by saying I left my roots to grow out too long but I had visited the salon for a touch up a few months ago. In the end they offered me a discount and I still had to pay for ruined hair I didn't want. I wouldn't go to this salon unless you want your hair to experience long term damage and trauma.

Since my hairdressers closed down during Covid, I have been going from salon to salon to find one I really liked. This was my first visit to James Bushell. I was very impressed. All of the staff are really friendly. The salon has a good atmosphere. I was booked in for a cut & finish with Lucy. Lucy was lovely & made me feel at ease right away. I asked how I could change the colour of my hair. She really listened to me & offered me great advice. I will definitely be booking with Lucy again, to go back to have my hair coloured. I am really pleased as, after a lot of searching,I feel I have now found my new go to salon. I would highly recommend James Bushell Hair.

James Bushell has cut my hair over the last few years. He always does a really thorough consultation which means I leave the salon very happy. They really listen to what you’re saying whether it’s a colour change or re-style cut. Their service is professional and friendly at the same time. Can’t ask for more!

I travel all the way over from Coventry just to visit this hairdressers! Sophie colours my hair and knows exactly what I should & shouldn’t do, as I am currently repairing my hair from years of bleaching damage. My hair is now back down to my shoulders as giving the bleach a rest has helped it grow. It now feels absolutely incredible & I am so grateful I know I can get trusted advice when I go in. Massage chairs at the wash basin & the best chocolates with your cuppa tea, what’s not too love about this salon experience 🤗
