What types of electrical testing services do we offer?
With our expert electrical testing London services, we ensure peace of mind and 100% satisfaction every time.
All our services are carried out by fully qualified inspectors and engineers who have undertaken recognised industry-standard training and specialise in electrical testing and compliance.
We offer numerous electrical safety inspection services, including:
Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
A Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) covers the entire fixed electrical system in a house or flat, from consumer units/fuse-boxes to wiring, light fittings, plug sockets and switches. The report will reveal the state of these elements to help ensure your property is safe.
We can advise on your compliance obligations, and we will send reminders for when your Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) inspection is next due.
If repairs to the electrical installation are needed, we offer a full remedial works service to bring the system up to a safe standard.
A Satisfactory rated Domestic EICR every 5 years is a legal requirement for landlords and is strongly recommended/required in some cases for owner occupied homes.
For more information visit our Domestic EICR page, for prices see our Domestic EICR Prices page, it’s also easy to make an online booking.
Commercial EICR/Fixed Wire Testing
A Commercial EICR or Fixed Wire Test is an electrical inspection and test of all the fixed wiring, accessories, and switchgear in a business premises. Typical business premises that we regularly carry out EICRs on are offices, schools, commercial units, and warehouses. We are skilled at commercial electrical testing and can work in all commercial environments.
Our inspector will visit your premises and carry out the EICR visit, which involves visual inspections and dead/live electrical testing. We offer EICR visits out of hours, in the evening or on weekends, to minimise disruption to your business operations.
Once the visit is complete, we will send your finalised EICR certificate along with an itemised quotation for any required or recommended repairs. Full advice and support are always available and we offer a complete commercial remedial works service if required.
For more information visit our Commercial EICR page, for prices see our Commercial EICR Prices page, and it’s easy to request a quote.
Home Buyers Electrical Reports
If you’re looking to buy or sell a home you can hire us to carry out a Home Buyers Electrical Report, or a standard Domestic EICR.
Our Homebuyers Electrical Report includes a Domestic EICR but also a written assessment of the condition of the property’s electrical installation from the inspector. Our inspector will also carry out a greater number of checks behind electrical accessories (sockets/switches) to make sure there are no hidden horrors with the wiring.
For more information visit our Homebuyers Electrical Report page, for prices see Homebuyers Electrical Report Prices, and it’s easy to make an online booking.
Emergency Lighting Testing
If you own or manage a commercial or domestic property that has an emergency exit route, then you are legally required to have emergency lighting to illuminate the exit route in the event of a power failure to the normal lighting.
All emergency light systems require regular testing to ensure satisfactory and compliant operation. This is an important part of building maintenance and will help your colleagues or tenants safely exit the property in the event of a fire or emergency when the power has failed.
We offer a complete emergency light testing and emergency lighting installation/repairs service in London, Greater London, and the Southeast.
For more information see ouremergency lighting page and it’s easy to request a quote.
PAT Testing (Portable Appliance Testing)
If you are a business owner/manager or landlord, then you’re responsible for maintaining the safety of the electrical appliances that you provide for use by your staff or tenants.
PAT Testing is a way of you proving that your electrical appliances are safe to use, and that you are thereby complying with the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 in this regard.
PAT Testing checks the electrical safety of portable and stationary electrical equipment that has a plug top, for example a kettle or a fridge.
FAT Testing checks the electrical safety of fixed electrical equipment that is hard wired into the electrical installation by way of an isolator or a switch, for example an electric induction hob or a water heater.
Our PAT Testing service will highlight which electrical appliances are in safe working condition and flag up any that are not. We provide PAT and FAT testing in London, Greater London and the Southeast.
For more information visit our PAT Testing page, for prices see our PAT Testing Prices page, and it’s easy to request a quote.
