Mick Pickup1 StarHart & Sumpner provided a writen quotation to carry out roof work, which I agreed to. I have had to wait four weeks for them to be available to carry out the work. Should have started last week they rang to say they were behind schedule could they start today. I agreed to meet at 9.00am this morning. They arrived with some board and then left. I chased them up at 9.30am eventually they came.
Within 10 minutes they told me they could not do the job for the price they quoted (£6145 plus vat) as they had miscalculated the size of the roof. If I paid another £1500 they would start otherwise they would leave the job and I could get someone else. Can not believe this level of roofer still exists today.
