FALLS PREVENTION CERTIFICATE

Falling not only leads to poor health outcomes for residents, reducing their quality of life, but the reduced mobility that comes post falls also put increased manual handling pressure on the care staff helping them. That is why our training programs equip Care Home staff with the necessary skill sets to help prevent these falls.

We know the value Care Homes put on the safety and wellbeing of their residents. That is why we aim to support Care Homes to achieve this goal by helping them reduce the risk of their residents having a fall while in their care.

FALLS RISK ASSESSMENT

As part of our mission to reduce falls, we are offering assessments of Care Homes to see if they are meeting best professional standards when it comes to falls prevention. The assessments only cost £100 per home. These are in-person inspections done by one of our Physiotherapists. After the assessment we offer feedback and solutions (if needed) to help reduce falls risks. Care Homes receive a free Certificate to show they are compliant with falls prevention practices once they meet the standard.

VIDEO EXERCISE PROGRAMS

The research clearly documents the importance of regular exercising in helping to prevent falls. Some studies say that around 40% of falls could be prevented by exercises.

For a small fee we can assess the needs of your Care Home and create a curated playlist of exercise videos that can be used for group classes daily. 

We also offer individual video exercise programs. Our health survey can identify the needs of individual residents and we will create a monthly video exercise program to suit their level of function and reduce their risk of falling.
