Went on a warm Sunday, nice and cool inside. Watched Brian and Charles on a comfy sofa. Staff super friendly even dealing perfectly with a small fault with the screen curtain. Please support independent cinema.

Although there are about 26 of these small picture houses in the UK they do provide a friendly and homely alternative to the multinational cinema industry. Seats and screen quality is good and the films shown are not always the films available on the mainstream cinemas - and they do show some real gem movies too! I really recommend the Picture in Exeter, for those who are curious and like to try a new experience in cinematic viewing without the feel of being ripped off by the multinational cinema industry.

Lovely little cinema, with a great bar and cafe upstairs, serving delicious pizzas in a cosy informal atmosphere. Even though there are only 3 types of pizza on the menu, they are definitely some of the best in Exeter, plus they have Estrella on tap.... enough said!
