Laura Granger1 StarI am not the one to write bad reviews but I was so disappointed in my experience with Enterprise that I needed to share it.
I am french, living in France and I have a French driving licence.
On Tuesday 12th April, I rented a car online, making full payment and giving out all my details. The rental was starting on Saturday 16th, 9am (the office opening time).
On Wednesday, I received an email from Christina, asking me to provide my details again, which I did an hour after.
On Friday 15th, at 4.52pm (so 10 minutes before the office was closing), I received another email saying that they couldn't rent me a car due to the fact I didn't have a credit card.
Credit cards are not popular in France (we don't need credit score) so I don't understand how it is mandatory to provide one, especially after taking full payment in advance. Don't you rent cars to foreigners ? Also, why taking so many days to actually refuse my booking last minute? If me not having a credit card was an issue, it was clearly something you could have told me on Wednesday(and I even gave you my phone number to contact me directly!), not hours before my actual rental.
The cherry on the cake is when we asked about the delay in the refund just to be told "oh I don't know if we will refund, it's never happened before". They did refund but it took a good week to be proceeded (we are talking about £240 which is a large sum of money for me).
For your information, I had no problem renting a car last minute from Europcar with my debit card and it was even cheaper than your offer. I do not recommend Enterprise.Wednesday 25th May 2022
