Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers

Welcome to Eden Boys’ School, Preston – part of Star Academies. I am extremely proud to introduce myself as Principal of this dynamic, forward thinking, and outstanding school. It is an enormous honour and privilege to lead such a special establishment.

Pupils at Eden Boys’ Preston, are typically conscientious, resilient, ambitious and keen to learn, which is obvious to anyone spending even a short time in the school’s superb learning environment.

The boys enjoy their time in school and make a huge contribution to the warm and positive atmosphere about the site.  It is immediately apparent that staff choose to work here for all the right reasons; really caring for the young people they serve and working exceptionally hard on their behalf.  Notably, many hours of their own time are given to facilitate a range of trips and extra-curricular activities.

Our view of an outstanding school isn’t over complicated and we pride ourselves on being able to make a substantial contribution to the education of our pupils and to the communities we serve.

Our aims are simple, delivering the highest academic standards, securing exceptional attendance, without which pupils do not learn, maintaining a calm environment which is conducive to learning and encouraging every child to use their talents and interests to fulfil their potential.  We never underestimate the ability of any young person.

Your children are our future and at Eden Boys’ Preston, we view it as our responsibility to prepare them for the challenging demands of an ever-changing society and to nurture them to be able to cope with difficult obstacles they may meet throughout their lives. Every child is to be cherished as an individual and it is incumbent upon us to guarantee that happens.

If you are considering sending your child to Eden Boys’ School and should you wish to visit us to experience a deeper insight into our school and philosophy, I promise you a very warm welcome.

This is an excellent school and I find some of the previous reviews laughable. It is a school where the teachers are very approachable and will deal with any issues promptly. My son attends Eden Boys Preston and has never complained about bullying. The school has made a positive impression to Preston and has been a tremendous success. Keep up the good work!

This school is absolutely pathetic with no real policies and not interested in pupils performance at all. They are more interested in establishing outstanding rating only. A lot of effort is going to be needed for them to reach outstanding.I would not recommend them at all.

My son left a nearby Secondary School and came here mid way through Year 8. I can honestly say this was the best move I made for him. He is a different child completely. He loves coming into school and he finds the teachers help him much better than the other school he came from. They don't have grass sports pitches which would help but at least their lessons are fun for my son. He was being bullied at his other school and they did nothing to help him. I feel that this school cares for my son much better. They ring me if there is a problem and keep me informed. I have decided that I want my younger son to attend Eden in 2 years when he finishes at Deepdale School.

My son is being bullied verbally and physically on almost daily basis with no action by the school.... Bullying in this school is an epidemic which is simply not dealt with. School authorities need to be held accountable. Absolutely pathetic school with no real policies, and many of the parents I know are very unhappy regarding the school. Overall I see the school as a disappointment and I have already moved my child to another school. I would not recommend them at all.

Edon Boys has a positive learning environment that helps pupils appreciate their potential. You can really tell that the teachers give their 100% and the pupils are acheiving above and over the expected grades.
