Collingwood College Guest Rooms

Really nice room on a lovely site. It is a hall of residence for students, obviously, but en-suite bathrooms and spacious rooms. Ours had two single beds, very comfortable, bedding and towels provided, wardrobe, drawer and desk space, lamps to use as bedside lights or to study by, tea/coffee making facilities and supplies and a little welcome gift of toiletries: miniature soap, sachets of shampoo, hand/body lotion and I think shower gel. The lotion was lovely. Also had a fridge in our room. Woke up to birdsong and wild rabbits hopping about directly under our window. Cons: it was a bit of trek from the front entrance to our room given my mobility difficulties (information on which we'd supplied at the time of booking) and the doors were heavy and tight gaps from the POV of a manual wheelchair user, plus the carpet acted as a brake. Could not fit wheels *and* hands through the doorway of our room, which was a bit awkward, and the lift was tiny. The campus in general isn't great for wheelchair pushers. Collingwood College is very central and was incredibly welcoming. I would happily stay there again.
