I ordered a Mr Men themed cake for my son's 7th birthday. The cake looked absolutely amazing and was exactly what I'd hoped for! It also tasted lovely (when we'd persuaded our son to let us cut it!). Thank you Brendan and Ann

I ordered a 2 tier cake for my mothers 95th birthday. I gave them a picture of the cake stating that I did not want any dark colours used, only pale green with a very small amount of pale pink small flowers the roses on the top to be cream also to have very small ladybirds, bees, butterfly's and even small snails. What I was presented with , a cake with lots of dark colour and the bugs were large looking like they had been made by a child . I could have left the cake there, you can't have a party without a cake, I thought the taste would make up for the disappointing decoration how wrong I was. I gave my mother the first slice who said I can't eat this it tastes mouldy I had noticed the odd colour and how wet and stodgy the vanilla cake was. I asked other guest to try the cake , every one said the same thing. I rang the company who said our cakes a moist. This cake was so wet it had started to collapse. I took the cake back on the Monday having only picked up the cake the Friday before. I was given my money back. That does not make up for the disappointment my 95yr old mother felt on her birthday. When i took the cake back I was informed that the chocolate top tier which had not been cut would be taken into work. I did not taste this. my mother informs me that she did not like all the decoration on the cake. My mother had said she liked the deco so as not to upset me. I can not understand why Celtic cakes does not accept they failed to produce a cake to the customers specificationand the sponge cake that was edable. I put some of the cake in my freezer in case anyone became ill after tasting the cake. No one is perfect all the time, it would be nice if I was given a straight forwrd apology.

Words fail me sometimes, but I have to say I have never been more delighted with anything such as this marvellous cake Ann and Brendan created for my Mum’s special birthday. I’m so sorry the photos don’t even come close to representing how sensational the cake was. Even more important than the look, it tasted superb - all too often the most beautiful cake is let down by a dry sponge. Not here. Moist and flavourful - we had the lemon. When the waiters brought it out at the restaurant at the end of the meal, Mum was in tears (as were most of the other guests). Best money I’ve spent this year.
