We've had a lovely stay at Canadale guest house. We had a large, bright family room situated at the front of the house with beautiful bay windows. The room was clean and always nice and warm. In the mornings we were given a choice of tasty, well cooked breakfasts (traditional Scottish or more continental). The owner was friendly and accommodating. We had a baby of 9 months and this was never an issue, we were able to keep the buggy parked downstairs and the guest house has chairs for babies/toddlers. Canadale guest house is situated a 10 minute walk from the city centre but the surrounding area itself is vibrant and offers a great choice of bars, pubs, cafes and restaurants.  There is a bus stop opposite the guest house which offers a useful route across the city. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The wife and I had never been to Edinburgh before. So we were a little apprehensive, but need not have worried. Katherine2, Welcomed us warmly on arrival. The room was spotlessly clean, All the usual facilities, kettle, tv, etc. Lovely fresh cooked breakfasts, with different options. The full cooked Scottish breakfast had the most baked beans, I have ever encountered in a Guest House stay. Which was excellent as I'm a glutton for beans. One morning I counted at least 42 beans a record, which I gladly devoured. Catherine 1, was a warm and charming host. We would definitely recommend Canadale House to anyone visiting this great city.

Lovely place in a great location for Edinburgh. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in along with an ensuite to meet all your needs. Above all else Catherine goes out of her way to ensure your stay is relaxed and she went beyond the call of duty when I had made a silly error of something, reminding I was there to enjoy myself and it made my stay there all the better. Her and her staff are the heart and soul that lovingly makes it a wonderful experience.

Canadale Guest House is a lovely place to stay during a visit in Edinburgh. The rooms are clean and equipped with a very comfy bed. For breakfast you are free to choose from a range of different meals (Regular, Scottish, or vegetarian). There is always a supply of fresh coffee and tea in the dining room for self-service. The owner Catherine and the personnel is very kind and courteous.

Value for money no nonsense room clean warm and lovely hostess with the mostest. Within walking distance of castle if your fit or bus right outside premises taxi approx 8 pounds to royal mile. Beautiful breakfast prepared to order and served with a smile. Great.
