The Coffee Shop is open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm and offers light meals and refreshments in a pleasant environment. It also carries a range of other gifts. Famous for its homemade soups and cakes, the Coffee Shop seats 75 people and is happy to accommodate coach parties.

Great coffee shop. Friendly staff, very good selection of cakes and delicious coffee. The menu is quite extensive so everyone should be able to find something they like. The cafe is really spacious and comfortable. There are toilets and baby changing facilities. We'll definitely be back.

This was our first visit and unfortunately will be our last. I'll start by saying I've worked in this industry before and understand the challenges however this was a very poor experience and there wasn't really any excuse. We ordered two baked potatoes, no coleslaw, these were on the menu as freshly baked, we also ordered a kids macaroni and two hot chocolates. We didn't wait too long for the food, considering it was very busy it was fine, when the food arrived there was coleslaw on both plates, my wife didn't want to make an issue of it but I can't stand the stuff and it was partially over my baked potato so had to ask for a replacement. Once I had the replacement it was a microwaved potato, maybe I'm being particular but if the menu says freshly baked then they should be done in an oven in my opinion especially for £7. The potato and its contents were warm at best too so not at all good. The kids macaroni was a congealed lump, my 5 year old literally called it "gross" and wouldn't eat it. Both the hot chocolates were tasteless, we asked for a replacement, they came back again, slightly better but still bad. All in we had one girl who was clearly an experienced server but the rest of the team seemed to be young and inexperienced which isn't a dig but may have been the cause of the issue. Nobody asked how our lunch was and my wife was happy about that as I couldn't have not said anything if they had. Looking at other ratings/reviews this place seems to be week liked, maybe just an off day but for the love of god fix the baked potatoes, it's not difficult, or charge less.

I can highly recommend a visit to the Dundee Botanic Gardens and coffee shop. This was only my second time here but I'll definitely be back more often in future. Lunch was delicious - so good, in fact, that I got a couple of traybakes to take away and enjoy at home! The gardens were beautiful and accessible with good paths and lots of benches to sit on. Walking around here was very peaceful and therapeutic.
