Cozy restaurant all the more adorable with Christmas decorations. Nice food, service so so. The baked caciocavallo cheese with apple, honey and raisin is marvelous. Cheese and apple are a perfect combination already. And baked apple with melted stretching cheese? Heavenly. Like a warm dessert. Perfect for the cold weather and the almost festive season. The lamb ragu pasta is not as red and tomatoey as I expected, but the gravy and carrot-based sauce gives a warm feeling. The lamb meat is tender and so is the tendon, probably from the shank. The pasta rings are cooked just right. Desserts- chocolate salami looks like a deconstructed tiramisu with similar ingredients. Both are indulgent. The chocolate salami is soft and not too sweet, though it can taste better with more nuts. The tiramisu is moist and airy. Personally I’d prefer more lady fingers than mascarpone. In terms of food, overall I am glad that I have same some space at lunch to the extent of starving myself a bit before arriving here. Service is a bit slow. Waited quite a while for ordering, Parmesan cheese, clearing up the main dishes, dessert menu, and bill. Maybe because we look quite young? We didn’t get as much attention as other customers next to us, who enjoyed their dinner almost seamlessly. Not feeling welcomed overall. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Feeling the service charge not quite justified. And we got 79.31 in total with service included. The waitress charged 40 each when splitting in half. 😂 She didn’t bother to ask for permission, and I didn’t bother to argue. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Smart, but not really leaving a good impression on the customer, isn’t it? Christmas course sounds cheap in comparison. (If she had been attentive earlier I’d be willingly giving extra tips but 🙃)

Very nice Italian restaurant next to Smithfield market and down the road from the Barbican. The food and service was really good. We received good wine recommendations (for those not familiar with Italian wines). The burnt pecorino cake on the pasta was a nice touch. The restaurant felt spacious.

Lovely, authentic little Italian restaurant next to Barbican Centre! The food they serve is generous and it stuffed me up! The waiters were friendly and food was served quickly. I ordered lamb ragu pasta and cheese onion focaccia. They both tasted great and the dessert was my favourite :) There was a 10% discount campaign when I visited, so even though we had a lot the price wasn’t big at all. ( even without discount!) I would love to come back and try other menus 😊

Good atmosphere and good quality of food overall, the pizza especially was very good although it could have a bit more nduja rather than the traces you see in the pic, nevertheless good. The staff were also kind and professional. The food was good, although expensive. Plus there were overpriced items, a bottle of tap water cost £4 and the (stale) white bread you see in the pic also cost £4. I also found it disingenuous to be served a £13.5 starter which normally is accompanied by bread, without bread, and be charged an extra £4 for bread. Would I come back? I admit that the quality of the pizza was good, the pricing however is not sensible so I would probably try other places first before coming back.

Honestly, mixed reviews about this place. Ordered the duck ragu pasta and octopus ragu - both were quite disappointing where the pasta were overcooked and not “al dente” as I usually like if. Both of the ragu were not flavourful - lacked salt!! For close to 20 pounds per dish, it was not worth it :( 2/5 For dessert, I had tiramisu. Loved the cream but it was too much, the ratio of cream to sponge fingers were all off. 4/5 As the night went by, my friend and I craved pizza and ordered the one with truffle, burrata and cured meat! Shocking as it seems, it was fantastic. There was a perfect balance of creaminess, saltiness, crusty. Would definitely recommend it! 5/5 Note: everything is quite pricey except the pizza! In conclusion, skip pasta and dessert and just stick to the pizzas :) Stay for the cozy vibes
